Assembly
Here we have listed everything you need to know when you are going to assemble our doors and drawer fronts for your new furniture.
Assembly for IKEA Metod and Faktum frames
Kitchen doors and drawer fronts
-
Kitchen doors
- Our kitchen doors are pre-drilled for IKEA hinges and are mounted according to IKEA's instructions.
- The dishwasher front comes undrilled on the back, as IKEA has its own door with hinge holes that must be plugged. Install the front according to IKEA's instructions, just like their own front.
-
Drawer fronts
- Our drawer fronts are pre-drilled on the back for IKEA's drawer system, making assembly quick and easy according to IKEA's instructions.
- If you want to use drawer fronts instead of a full front on the dishwasher, you will need connecting rails from IKEA. The drawer fronts are joined together with IKEA's connecting rails and installed according to IKEA's instructions.
-
Pull-outs for Metod
- Our pull-outs are undrilled on the back to avoid hinge holes that need to be plugged, giving a neater result.
- Install the pull-outs on the kitchen cabinet according to IKEA's instructions.
Cover panels
- Cover panels are installed by screwing them in from the inside of the frame.
- Tip: Screw through once and then remove the screw (to pre-drill the hole). Remove the sawdust that can be pushed out and make the cover side extend outside the frame.
Assembly of kitchen doors and drawer fronts for other kitchen frames
Our kitchen doors are pre-drilled for hinges with a standard diameter of 35 mm. Differences between brands and models mostly concern the hinge positioning (height), but the basic hole is always the same. The screw holes for the hinges are pre-drilled with a diameter of 3 mm, allowing the use of short self-tapping screws. If you need to adjust the screw holes to fit existing screws for the hinges, you can easily re-drill them to the correct dimension. Dishwasher doors are always delivered undrilled on the back and are installed according to the instructions for the existing doors.
-
Drawer fronts
- The drawer fronts are delivered undrilled on the back, except for IKEA kitchen frames. To make assembly easier, you can use your existing drawer fronts as a template to mark the placement of the fittings. Drill and screw the fittings on the new drawer fronts and snap them into place.
-
Cover panels
- The cover panels are screwed in from the inside of the frame. For best results, screw through once for pre-drilling and remove the screw before putting it back. This helps prevent sawdust from being pushed out, which could cause the cover side to sit slightly outside the frame.

Assembly of spacer strips for shaker kitchens and IKEA Metod
When assembling spacer strips for shaker kitchens with our parts for new IKEA Metod kitchens, follow these steps for a perfect result:
-
Assembly of spacer strips:
- The spacer strips are 70 mm deep and are attached between, above, and below the kitchen frames to create a framing.
- Attach the strips so that they protrude 19 mm outside the edges of the frames and align with the adjacent kitchen doors/drawer fronts.
- The spacer strips are as wide as our kitchen doors (19 mm) and are screwed from the inside of the frame. For best results, screw through once to pre-drill the hole and remove the screw before putting it back. This minimizes the risk of sawdust being pushed out and ensures the spacer strip sits flush.
-
Placement of spacer strips:
- Install a spacer strip between each frame.
- Install a spacer strip below each frame, so it protrudes 19 mm, just like the other strips.
- Attach a spacer strip on top of the frames. To ensure the countertop lies flat and level, place a spacer strip at the back of the frame on top of the upper edge.
-
Adjustment of the frame height:
- When installing the spacer strip above the frame, move the frame's upper rail inward one step so that it does not obstruct the spacer strip. Then screw the spacer strip in place.
- With the spacer strip above the frame, the kitchen will be 19 mm higher than the standard height. We customize the cover side to match this height, and you can also lower the frame's legs if necessary to adjust the height as needed.
Assembly of wardrobe doors for IKEA PAX
To assemble our wardrobe doors on IKEA PAX wardrobes, follow these steps to ensure a professional and neat installation:
-
Assembly of doors:
- Our doors are pre-drilled for IKEA PAX hinges, making installation easy. Follow IKEA's instructions for hinge assembly.
-
Cover panels:
- Cover panels are attached in the same way as described earlier. Screw them in from the inside of the frame. A tip is to pre-drill the screw holes to avoid the cover side being pushed out and becoming uneven.
-
Plinths:
- Plinths are most easily installed using mounting adhesive. Since IKEA PAX wardrobes have a built-in white plinth set slightly inward, our plinths provide a more exclusive and built-in look.
-
Custom fitting:
- With our doors, plinths, top connections, and cover panels, the wardrobe can be perfectly adapted to cover spaces against walls and ceilings. We customize all cover panels and filler pieces to fit perfectly.
-
Making your own extension frames for IKEA PAX:
- Decide the height of your extension frames and place both sides together when cutting to ensure they are the same size. Cut the sides to the desired height with a circular saw or jigsaw. Always saw the sides downwards to ensure the correct placement of the hinges. This way, we can guarantee that the hinge holes on your doors are exactly aligned when we make them.
-
Screw the cut sides and the bottom part of the PAX frame together using IKEA's supplied screws. For the top, use the wardrobe shelf and screw it with your own wood screws. NOTE: Remember to buy an extra shelf for this if needed!
-
Measure and cut the back panel and attach it with IKEA's supplied nails. Install the new frame on top of a PAX frame with the cut side facing down and join them with 30 mm long wood screws.
-
Final custom fitting: After assembling the extension frames, you can order custom doors from us that are tailored to your new frames. These doors are pre-drilled for PAX hinges and positioned exactly for a perfect fit.
By following these steps, you will get an elegant and perfectly fitted wardrobe that looks exclusive and feels built-in.
Assembly of Handles & Knobs
Determine the Placement of the Handles
First and foremost, decide how you want the handles to be mounted: horizontally or vertically? Do you want them in the middle of the drawer, or would you prefer to place them to the right or left? There are no fixed rules for the distance from the edge of the drawer or door. The placement is entirely up to your personal taste and style.
Measure and Drill Your New Holes
To ensure all handles are placed at the same distance on all doors, we recommend using a drill template from us, which you can find here: Drill template for Handles & Knobs. Use the drill template and a pencil to mark where the holes should be placed.
Check with a ruler to ensure the distance matches your desired placement, and place the handle to make sure it sits correctly.
Use a drill that is the same size as the screw (our standard size is M4, but always double-check this) and drill straight through the mark on the front.
Install the Handles
Use a screwdriver and easily mount your new handles/knobs using the supplied screws.
